I was about
to embark on another project with ICEA this late spring when the news of the
swine flu virus broke out carried out by
almost every major news outlet. The CDC
was proclaiming yet different stage of the threat: pandemic, not pandemic yet,
but close… Airports were empty, many people were freaking out.
My friend
from Milpitas, California was tracking the cases daily using a Flu Tracker
software (!). One of the ICEA’s
directors was phoning me concerned about the flu asking if it was safe to bring
a group from Ukraine, participating in the cultural and educational program.
I said “yes,
don’t worry, it is not a big deal”.
“Why not?”,
she asked.
“Did you
read my article about CDC and Health Marketing?”
She did not
understand what I meant at first.
“They are
setting up the stage to introduce a new vaccine,” I started to explain.
Having been
researching vaccinations, history, ingredients and politics, I could see that
very clearly.
I have stated
the numbers for comparison. 4000 cases
of swine flu virus out of 400,000,000 people in USA is only 0.001% of the U.S. population.
This is not significant enough to worry about. Not to mention that “recorded”
cases does not mean “fatal” cases.
Any flu
could be fatal as the virus could weaken the body enough to lead to death,
usually from other causes. Please
compare 4000 cases of swine flu virus this summer to 30,000 cases of death
every year from pollutants in water such as pesticides [source: Flow, the
movie].
Sure
enough, in June San Francisco Chronicle ran the following article:
“Pandemic designation spurs vaccine production”
My theory is that vaccine production and sales are stimulated by information spread by media, CDC, Health Marketing, WHO and other “health authorities”. As a result the sales of vaccines go up and the frequency of administering the vaccine increases from only once a year (the regular flu season starting in fall) to twice a year (now including summer vaccinations for the swine flu virus). This makes a whole lot of profit for certain businesses.Excellent
job! What can I say…
