Dear Soulja Boy,
You are ought to call Youtube and tell them what's up. They recently blocked my video in which my friend Lili dances to your song "Crank that Soulja" in my office. The song, ironically, is being played off the Youtube and the sound is coming from your official instructional video.

The part of Lili dancing to it in my office - is a depiction of what goes on in those offices of employees who don't get their paycheck on time. Some time in December 2007 this is what was happening at one software company in down town San Francisco.

On May 1, 2009 Youtube sent me an email citing copyright issues as the song is owned by UMG. Because of this, Youtube blocked this video in all but a handful countries.

I think you are ought to intervene and stop this madness. Or else you would not see videos of other people dancing to your songs.

And that would be sad.

Hey Soulja Boy, TELL THEM!

Here is the letter from Youtube:

"Your video, Lili doing Soulja Boy in my office, may have audio content from Crank That (Soulja Boy) by Soulja Boy Tell`em that is owned or licensed by UMG.
As a result, your video is blocked everywhere except in these locations:

American Samoa, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Cuba, Fiji, France, Germany, Guam, Heard Island and McDonald Islands, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kiribati, Mexico, Nauru, Netherlands, New Zealand, Niue, Norfolk Island, Northern Mariana Islands, Papua New Guinea, Puerto Rico, Solomon Islands, South Korea, Spain, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, United Kingdom, United States, United States Virgin Islands, Vanuatu "

Sincerely,
Oksana & Lili

PS. Fila preferred to stay out of this one.
