I got convinced of that simply by observing the recent drop down in prices for gasoline. If only a few months ago (March), they climbed up to over $4.00 per gallon, they are now back to $1.69 in central California, where it's usually pricey. If the oil was running out back in March, it would definitely be running out even more now in November, yet the price got cut down in half.

So for those of you who bought into that argument, I'm sorry, but I have to say - "i told you"...

See my comment to the "Gas Rip Off" I wrote nine months ago, dated Tue 11 Mar 2008.

Also, I found out that more people are wondering about the same thing, and even suggested interesting explanations why that is on Yahoo Answers.

Any other ideas?
