Oksana, Olinda and Cassy performed their belly dances at the South San Francisco Retirement Center on Father's Day June 20, 2010 as part of Arabesque Belly Dance Troupe. This is a second year, the Retirement Center invites this troupe to perform. Here are the videos from two of the dances.

It is about 4pm at the Civic Center Bart Station and there is a long snaky line of people moving two steps at the time, climbing up from the Bart station, screaming in excitement. The Grove Street is lined up with people on both sides, waiting to meet up with friends, texting, calling, puking.

Israeli group of DJs called "Infected Mushroom" who plays exquisite trance music was coming to San Francisco July 17th and I was excited to go. That was until I went to TicketMaster.com to order my ticket. Next to the $23.50 ticket price I noticed a $8.50 convenience fee, a whooping almost 40%!

September 26th thru 29th was a 5th annual Red Marines campout, a weekend filled with music and art. I got ot the festival with my friends Dima (the DJ0, Yasha and Mike. We drove thru a long winding road that led us into the mountains. It felt really good to leave the city behind, it felt like a beginning of a great adventure.

Stern Grove Jammers

I discovered a sneaky little place in SF called Stern Grove. Somehow, afters years living in the area, I managed to avoid it until now. Of course, my fellow drummers from the belly dancing group were somewhat responsible for this. I did have to find it on my own, following Sloat from Brotherhood Way and parking, yes, it is a bitch. But finding it makes it all worth what awaits you down there in the cave.

Dj Tiesto apologizes for the power outage in SF

Unexpected power outage interrupted the mix of DJ Tiesto and shut down a huge festival of electronic music at Cow Palace an hour earlier Saturday night. About 10 thousand people, who paid about $80 per ticket, waited and waited and cheered and cheered “ti-es-to”, but there was no more music to come. Boy, they were pissed. Some of them actually thought Tiesto was doing it on purpose.
