One evening in December, the book store “Books Inc” in downtown San Francisco transformed into a session of online marketing promoting a book on Google just released by CCG marketing group.
The CCG group based in Palo Alto, compiled tips and tricks of online marketing into a book called “Search Engine Marketing” available for purchase at stores and online.
In this book, the authors Stephanie Cota and Andreas Ramos reveal the “secrets” of Google and explain how to use them to your advantage. Among those secrets was the quality raters, a 22-year-old students, who rate your page and influence where your website is placed among the search results. This would be page 144 in the book, Andreas said.
The authors also went to China and compared search engine experience between the two countries.
In the end, they came up with the book that even they say, can get some people in trouble for releasing such information, but quickly add that there is nothing in the book that is “against” Google. They simply “lift the veil” and let the magician do his tricks.
