I'm now a member of the National Press Club, a prestigious organization
uniting journalists across the world, and, also, a great place to hang
out, eat lunch and mingle. I have visited NPC in Washington DC several
times before while coordinating and translating meetings with Ukrainian
journalists. I am now super excited to have become a member.

I received an email today from NPC letting me know that their committee accepted my application and welcomes me to the club!

As it states on its website, “The Club shall provide people who gather and disseminate news a center
for the advancement of their professional standards and skills, the
promotion of free expression, mutual support and social fellowship.”

During my April visit to NPC with a group of Ukrainian journalists, we have decided to organize another National Press Club in Ukraine. This idea, hopefully, will grow roots for the financial, political and professional freedom for journalists in Ukraine.
